Paul Mellon Scholarship Fund

The Paul Mellon Scholarship Fund was created in 2003 with a major gift from Mr. Mellon's estate. Mr. Mellon was a noted environmentalist, horseman and philanthropist. Mr. Mellon retired as trustee of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and as chairman of the National Gallery of Art in 1985. He died in 1999. The scholarship benefits students from Fauquier County, Virginia, who demonstrate financial need.
