Lillie Mae and Alva B. Johns Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the Lillie Mae and Alva B. Johns Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships to third- and fourth-year undergraduate students studying ethics in the Religious Studies Program in the College of Arts and Sciences or teacher education and human services in the Curry School of Education, as well as fellowships to graduate students studying materials science and engineering in the School of Engineering and Applied Science. Scholarship support shall be granted on the basis of need first, then academic achievement. The Lillie Mae and Alva B. Johns Scholarship Fund honors the lives of Lillie Mae and Alva B. Johns for their lifetime achievements as parents and community members, for their high ethical standards, and for their belief in the value of education and learning. The areas of study selected for the scholarship reflect their lifelong interests and activities.
