White Burkett Miller Professorship in Law and Public Affairs

1975

The White Burkett Miller Professorship in Law and Public Affairs was funded by Burkett Miller in memory of his father. The professorship endowment was part of an uncommonly generous gift that launched the White Burkett Miller Center of Public Affairs and created scholarships in law and public affairs. The Miller Center is a nationally recognized research forum dedicated to the study of the United States presidency and governance. Burkett Miller (Law '14) was a partner in the Chattanooga, Tennessee firm of Miller, Martin, Hitching, Tipton, Lenihan & Waterhouse. He died in 1977.
