Sullivan and Cromwell Professorship
The Sullivan & Cromwell Professorship in Law was funded by partners in the New York firm. John L. Warden (Law '65), a vice president and general counsel of the Law School Foundation who served as vice chair of the Law School's Campaign Executive Committee, was instrumental in creating the professorship. David S. Henkel (Law '36); Robert B. Hiden, Jr. (Law '60); and William F. Indoe (Law '68) also provided generous support. As part of the Campaign for the University of Virginia (completed in 2000), law alumni at Sullivan & Cromwell helped underwrite construction of a computer center within the new Law School complex.
