Charles O. Gregory Professorship
The Charles O. Gregory Professorship in Law was funded by an anonymous donor and members of the law Class of 1967 during their third year. An expert on labor and torts law, Mr. Gregory had been counsel to the U.S. Department of Labor in 1936 and 1937, and was acting secretary of labor. He joined the law faculty in 1949 and later was appointed by President John F. Kennedy to the Atomic Energy Labor Management Relations Board. Mr. Gregory published a definitive text on labor and tort law. He retired in 1967 and died in 1987.
