Albert C. Tate Jr. Professorship
The Albert Clark Tate, Jr., Professorship in Law was funded with a gift from Elvira McMillan Tate and several of her late husband's colleagues. At the time of its establishment, the Tate Professorship was one of the most generously endowed research professorships at the Law School. Albert Clark Tate, Jr. (Law '63), who died in 1983, was a partner in the Atlanta, Georgia, firm of Kilpatrick & Cody. His longtime friend and law partner, D. Lurton Massee, Jr. (Law '61), who died in 1993, was instrumental in creating this professorship.
