Albert C. BeVier Professorship
The Albert C. BeVier Research Professorship in Law was funded by Michael J. and Lillian Riemer BeVier in memory of Mr. BeVier's father. Albert BeVier was director of test engineers at General Electric Company during World War II and vice president of marketing for Franklin Electric Company from 1957 until his death in 1963. Michael BeVier is cofounder and chair of MorBanc Financial Corporation and Mortgage Bankers Finance Corporation in Charlottesville. Lillian BeVier, a law faculty member since 1973, is an authority on constitutional law, including First Amendment issues, and a specialist in intellectual property law.
