Harrison Undergraduate Research Awards Fund
The Harrison Foundation created the Harrison Undergraduate Research Awards Fund in 2010 to support outstanding undergraduate research projects. Approximately forty awards will be granted on a competitive basis to first-, second-, and third-year undergraduate students. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates at U.Va. and must remain enrolled at the University through the completion of their project. Working with the guidance of a University faculty member, each recipient will plan and implement a substantial and significant research project. Applicants are urged to think creatively in designing their research projects, and encouraged to integrate different areas and approaches. Final projects are submitted to the Center for Undergraduate Excellence and student presentations are made in the spring at a Center-sponsored event.
